Observations upon a name ...
Oct. 10th, 2007 03:37 amMy name is 新金夢, or Xīn Jīn Mèng, which I usually translate as "The Novelty of the Golden Fantastic." Folks who would claim familiarity with me often simply address me as "Xin", which does not offend me. Recently, I have noticed some address me as "Xinji", a nickname whose meaning varies on the tone on how it is pronounced. With a rising tone of "sheen-jee", you would have 辛集, "searching for the 8th heavenly stem (metal yin)". With a falling tone of "sheen-jeh", you would have 心悸, "palpitations". Thus I'm never sure if they're saying that I seek a dark and secret feminity or if I'm having a heart attack.
I will say that it does amuse me to hear it, though. I suppose some jokes are just for me.

It seems it's resolution in game doesn't render at quite 100x100 pixels so you'll notice it does look like it's been scaled up. Should you require a more detailed version I'm sure it would be no trouble to re-create in illustrator for crisper lines.
