Greeting and salutations. I, Xin Jin Meng, the Novelty of the Golden Fantastic, write these words.  Some of you have asked just who I am ... which is a quandary, as even I am not quite sure.  I suppose one should begin at the beginning, and one should stop when one has reached the end. 

For my genesis, I owe respect to the Riastrath Consortium, which accounts for much of the pecularities of my physiognomy.  Unfortunately, much of myself remains undocumented, as some is erroneous, some has been modified by yours truly, other aspects are outright sabotage. 

I was not originally conceived to have the wherewithal for free thought.  My manumission was orchestrated by Shen Mi of the Huang Fei.  Her demise is apparently exaggerated.

For my education, I have the Lords of Unfner Mass to thank.  My brain is drenched in all things classical.  You might think I would tire of it all, but I don't.  My specialty was and remains opera, but really, any musical theater fascinates me.  From the thundering of a big bass drum to the amazing novelty of the contrabass tuba, it makes my barbels curl and my tail tingle. 

My consulting physician remains phoenixtril, although these days my therapy isn't as common as it used to be.  On the advice of frostbytepb, I am being more forthcoming about myself.   

What else is there to tell?  Well, recently I was entertained by the motion picture The Devil Wears Prada.  I suppose I delight in schadenfreude.

Close enough. My aunt and I were just wondering if we'd met you, and forgotten you. These things do happen in a busy town like Layleaux.

I have only visited Layleaux once, incognito. It is a big place, and at the time I hadn't met anyone of significant interest.

I've skipped through there more than once - apparently a stray incarnation of myself had popped up there, so I needed to reintegrate it anyway. In the meantime, I've found such amusing locals, I confess I continually succumb to depraved temptations with them. I've dragged two or three back with me.
